TOKE-2019 - from 04.03 to 09.03 - Russia, Petrozavodsk, Lake Onego

ТОКЕ (Trans-Onego Kite Enduro)


"Trans-Onego Kite Enduro" (TOKE) – since 2012 is annual international ski-kite enduro on the frozen Lake Onego in the North-West Russia.


Competitions are held in the format of a three-day race for teams of two kiters self-sufficient for two overnight stays in field conditions on the ice of Lake Onego.


Circular route about 300 km long leads through famous for its history, the most interesting and picturesque places of Lake Onega: Cape " Devil's Nose " island " Vasilisin " island "Kizhi " Shardonskie island. TOKE starts and finishes at the central quay of the town Petrozavodsk.


Teams of two people in a fully autonomous mode transporting racing and hiking equipment . Competitions are held regardless of weather conditions, which allows participants to demonstrate their skills in a variety of wind and temperature conditions, overcoming the need snow drifts, ice ridging zone and outs of water through the ice cracks.


Year 2016 : -TOKE was confirmed by WISSA as the World Championship for the long distance kiting and the first stage of the WISSA World Cup. -Teams : 31 of 7 nations : Czhech Republic, Germany, France, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Russia (regions Petrozavodsk, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Murmansk, Cherepovets, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Archangelsk, Komi.


Year 2017 – TOKE remains the first stage of the WISSA World Cup followed by VAKE (Varanger Arctic Kite Enduro) in Norway and PAKE (Pallas Arctic Kite Enduro) in Finland.
